About the book: year / A group of friends travels to the dense Canadian outback, to a hut on a lake where the parents of the nameless main character used to live. Not long ago, her father, who lived here as a hermit for many years, disappeared, and she must return to the past to unravel the mystery of his mysterious disappearance. A woman lulls within herself a forgotten trauma that keeps resurfacing. Day after day, she sinks deeper into the memories of her childhood in this place. She literally merges with nature and fences herself off from the flickering, senselessly cruel people who gradually begin to resemble in her imagination like plastic mannequins, like androids. Alienation is followed by approaching madness... But, perhaps, only through madness is it possible to awaken to begin a real life.
