About the book: 1994 / The book is dedicated to the Middle Ages in the West, more precisely, the period from the 10th to the 15th centuries. The purpose of this publication is to determine the place of the phenomena of art among everything that surrounds them and leads to their creation, to show the significance of a work of art in a certain era and the function that it performs - with all external detachment from any self-interest - its connections with the productive forces and culture, of which it is one of the forms of expression, as well as with society, whose dreams it anticipates.
