About the book: 2011 / Roman Borisovich Gul (1896–1986) lived a bright, eventful life. A participant in General Kornilov’s “Ice Campaign,” then an emigrant, he became a well-known writer abroad, one of the most influential Russian journalists, and the founder and editor-in-chief of “New Journal” (New York). His autobiographical, documentary and memoir books have been translated into many languages of the world. The volume presents a book of documentary essays “Red Marshals”, dedicated to the life and work of M.N. Tukhachevsky, K.E. Boroshilov, V.K.Blyukher and G.I.
